Two menus can answer two different needs
Spoken audio controls what you hear. Subtitles and captions control the text you see. Hindi dialogue with English captions requires both options on the selected edition. An original-language label in this catalog describes the production, not its complete set of available tracks.
When captions do not match the dub
Dubbed dialogue and subtitles can use different translations. Look for captions intended for the dubbed edition where offered. A slightly different sentence is not automatically a timing problem. If whole scenes are out of step, confirm the film cut, episode and version before changing display settings.
Make the words comfortable to read
Use subtitle size, background and contrast controls when the player supports them. Test on dialogue after closing the menu. Large captions may cover on-screen writing; very small captions can be difficult from a sofa. Casting may move control to the television or its app rather than retain the phone's settings.
For anime language choices, read the anime guide. For missing tracks across only one season, inspect that season's offer. Availability can differ within the same series, so an older episode's language list is not proof that every later one matches.
